This implementation governance and delivery use case is currently being updated
Client contribution
The essential prerequisite was to engage the business stakeholders in sensitive discussions to agree that major change was needed, and that this was the right time to start it. While the current approach to manage client relationships had been very successful, to remain a market leader transformation was needed. So, leadership attention and funds would need rebalancing. It was anticipated that investment in most current systems would need to be constrained, major contracts would need to be renegotiated, etc.
Our client also identified new sponsors for this new business, as the mindset and culture required was different from the past. Decisions on future options, for example about leveraging some current customer assets would require governance. A particular concern was related to whether all current regulatory needs were being met. The anticipated reuse of customer data had to address these concerns, and the current business to be protected from these risks. The client also led the development of new policies that could address working practices deemed unsuitable for a significantly reshaped and more efficient business
Feedback
The initial speed of engagement was facilitated by good planning, prior identification of relevant accelerators and alignment of our ways of working.
Availability of key resources was also key to determine the timing.
